Description
This artifact is an authentic World War II–era NSBO (National Socialist Factory Cell Organization) pole top, crafted from a nickel or silver-plated alloy. The design features the distinctive NSBO emblem: a stylized hand gripping a hammer, set alongside a static swastika and framed by a partial cogwheel bearing the organization’s initials.
Measuring approximately 23 cm in height and 15 cm in width, the piece is unmarked and remains in excellent condition. Its construction and iconography reflect the industrial and ideological messaging associated with the organization.
The NSBO operated from 1931 until its absorption into the German Labor Front (Deutsche Arbeitsfront, DAF) in 1934. It functioned as the National Socialist German Workers’ Party’s labor organization within industrial sectors, representing an early effort to consolidate worker alignment under party structures.
Artifacts of this type provide insight into the intersection of political ideology and industrial labor during the early years of the Third Reich, offering important context for understanding the period’s organizational and symbolic frameworks.
