Description

Here’s a very clean Italian made NSDAP Nazi Flag that measures approximately 66″ x 39″.  This is a much rarer flag than period examples made within Germany.  It has a crisp stamp that reads “MUNICIPIO DI NAPOLI – ECONOMATO” (Town Hall of Naples – Treasurer).  The flag would be attached to the pole with 4 ties, which they are all in tact.  The construction is unique.  A hole is cut in the center of the flag and the white circle enclosing the swastika is sewn in.  There is a very small ink mark from the stamp process on the red field and a small water stain in the white circle, see pictures.

Below is a period picture taken when Hitler visited Italy in 1938.  I believe the same type of flag was used.  Notice how the flags were attached to the poles.
