Description
Here’s an exceptional example of a WW2 German RNST standarte. The Bauernschaft was a German agricultural organization. This standarte was procured by a young US infantryman that was taken prisoner by the Germans. After his liberation, in May 1945 from the Vilsbiburg labor camp, he picked up a couple souvenirs. Condition is excellent and measures approximately 54″x44″. The chain stitching on the corner patch is brilliant. All rings have been retained with the exception of the top ring. There is a very slight stain and a very small tear (See pictures).
