This artifact is a second-pattern NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) flagpole finial, preserved in excellent condition. The piece measures approximately 10 inches in height, with a wingspan of 9¾ inches, and retains clear detail and original surface characteristics. The base is stamped with the RZM marking “M3/40/43,” indicating production within the party’s regulated manufacturing system.
Finials of this type were used atop organizational and ceremonial standards, serving as prominent visual identifiers of party presence and authority. The design reflects the standardized production and symbolism associated with NSDAP regalia during this period.
