Description

This is an exceptional example of a rare second-pattern Luftwaffe regimental flagpole finial, preserved with its original finish intact. Of particular note is the survival of its original leather wing protectors and accompanying leather storage case—features seldom encountered together and indicative of careful preservation.

The finial measures approximately 7 inches in height, with a wingspan of 9½ inches, embodying both the craftsmanship and symbolic design associated with Luftwaffe regimental standards. Such pieces served as prominent identifiers of unit pride and presence.

Complete ensembles of this quality are exceedingly scarce, making this a significant artifact within the study and collection of German military regalia from the Second World War.
